Jeannie Tsukamoto joined Madison Rotary in 2007. She has served in numerous club leadership positions, including as President in 2016-2017. Under her leadership as President, Madison Rotary accomplished unprecedented membership growth of 21 members. She spearheaded the successful unification effort of the club and the Madison Rotary Foundation to transform Madison Rotary into a 501(c)(3) charity. She was the recipient of Madison’s “Service Above Self” award in 2013 and 2021.
Jeannie has also served in various district leadership positions, including as Assistant Governor, District Membership Chair, Rotary Means Business/Rotary Business Networking Founding Chair, PETS instructor, Rotary-Habitat Partnership program Founding Chair, District Governor’s Aide, and District Major Gifts and Endowment Chair. Under her leadership as Major Gifts and Endowment Chair in 2021-2022, the district gained a record 16 new Rotary Major Donors and raised over $232,000 through the Major Gifts program. She received the district’s highest honor, the F. S. Matty Matthewson Rotarian of the Year Award, in 2022.
Jeannie is a Rotary Major Donor and a member of the Paul Harris Society and Polio Plus Society and has made a significant commitment to the Rotary Endowment. Besides Rotary, Jeannie has served in various leadership positions and received numerous recognitions and honors for her work in community and public service with other global, state, and local organizations, including Morris Habitat for Humanity as Board President, accomplishing unsurpassed growth in operations and the number of families served, the American Red Cross, achieving record fundraising results, and many more, as well as serving on the Madison Borough Council for nearly six years, including three as Council President.
Professionally, Jeannie is a retired telecommunications executive and adjunct undergraduate and graduate professor in mathematics and management.
